Seasonal Class 1 Truck Driver
Position Information:
- Hourly wage: Based on qualifications & experience
- Location: Based in Onslow, delivering across NS
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Seasonal bulk and flatbed delivery to farms in Nova Scotia (only day trips)
- Communicate with staff and customers about deliveries
- Load and unload trucks
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any problems
- Secure cargo and deal with dangerous goods safely, as needed
- Basic daily maintenance & cleanliness of truck
Job Requirements
- Clean Driver’s Abstract
- Valid Class 1 Driver’s License
- Must follow road safety and drivers’ hours of service regulations
- Friendly and professional customer service manner
- Proficient in verbal and written communication
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Ability to manage time around tasks at hand
- Strong attention to detail
- High regard for quality, accuracy, and customer satisfaction
- Willingness to work overtime hours (some early mornings, late evenings, and weekends may be required)
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods Training (provided on hire)
- WHMIS training (provided on hire)
